Aubree's Take on Treatment
“In sessions, we’ll explore your experiences, build on your existing strengths and introduce strategies to help you navigate challenges and foster personal growth. Most importantly, I believe therapy is a space for you to pause, reflect and care for yourself in a meaningful and sustainable way.”
Approach to Therapy
Aubree’s approach to therapy is goal oriented, skills based, collaborative, and compassionate. She believes in helping individuals identify their strengths and resiliencies in order to be successful in therapy. She also recognizes that therapy is not a linear process, and she is adept at helping clients understand their motivations for treatment. She specializes in CBT, primarily Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP) with children, teens, and adults. She has experience working with all kinds of anxiety, OCD, and anxiety-related disorders. She believes in including supportive others and parents in the treatment process, and is able to conduct exposures wherever anxiety happens.
Experience and Training
Aubree is in her last year of training for her Psy.D. in clinical psychology at The Chicago School. She graduated from Lewis University in 2021 with a bachelor's degree in psychology with a minor in biology. She has had extensive training in ACT, ERP, and CBT. Aubree has previously worked in community mental health providing therapeutic and case management services to individuals and families with a range of different backgrounds and presenting problems, including panic disorder, generalized anxiety disorder, posttraumatic stress disorder (PTSD), depression, borderline personality disorder and schizophrenia. She also has extensive experience conducting neuropsychological assessments across the lifespan and is comfortable working with individuals of all ages.
