Eve's Take on Treatment
“Starting therapy can feel really scary and uncomfortable. In treatment, I want to help you learn that you can do hard things in a gradual way that feels manageable and safe. I’m always going to meet you where you are, and I wouldn’t ask you to do anything that I wouldn’t do myself. By the end of our work together, my goal is for you to have confidence in your ability to tackle any challenge life throws your way. I want you to take control back from your anxiety disorder and live the life you want to live.”
Approach to Therapy
Dr. Galloway believes that meaningful change begins with a strong therapeutic relationship built on empathy, trust, transparency, and collaboration. She strives to create a safe, nonjudgmental space for her clients to feel understood and work towards their goals. Dr. Galloway values shared decision-making and supports her clients in making informed choices about their treatment. Ultimately, her goal is to equip clients with the skills and confidence they need to become their own therapists and continue making progress long after therapy has ended.
Dr. Galloway is committed to providing the best possible care based on the most up-to-date research. Her approach is grounded in Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT) which highlights how patterns of thinking, feeling, and behaving can contribute to psychological distress. She recognizes that each client's experiences are unique and considers how their family history, personal identities, culture, and past experiences shape their worldview and presenting problem.
Experience and Training
Dr. Galloway earned her Doctorate in Clinical Psychology from Marywood University in Scranton, Pennsylvania. While working towards her doctorate, she trained in several community mental health clinics and The Anxiety and OCD Treatment Center in Wilmington, Delaware. She completed her doctoral internship at Rogers Behavioral Health in Oconomowoc, Wisconsin, where she trained at an OCD and anxiety unit.
Her clinical training has been grounded primarily in Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT), with specialized training in the assessment and treatment of OCD and anxiety-related disorders using Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP). Dr. Galloway tailors treatment to each client's needs and preferences by thoughtfully integrating interventions from other therapeutic approaches including Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Motivational Interviewing (MI).
Dr. Galloway is experienced in treating OCD- and anxiety-related disorders, as well as common co-occurring disorders, including hoarding disorder, body-focused repetitive behaviors, generalized anxiety disorder, illness anxiety disorder, social anxiety disorder, panic disorder, agoraphobia, specific phobias, and depression. She specializes in working with people across all ages and believes in including parents, providers and supportive others in the treatment process. She is also able to do home visits and community exposures.
