Julia’s Take on Treatment
“J.A Shedd’s famous quote -A ship in the harbor is safe, but that is not what ships are built for- reminds us that having the courage to change can be life altering. Treatment provides the support and encouragement needed to help you face your fears and struggles. You don’t have to journey alone to reach the life you dream of living.”
Approach to Therapy:
Julia approaches clients in a kind, collaborative, and encouraging manner. Understanding that seeking treatment can be exceedingly difficult, she believes that laying a foundation of trust and lack of judgement is paramount to building a safe space. Julia helps clients understand that their goals are truly obtainable with a structured treatment plan, education, and a willingness to change. She knows that education is power when it comes to dealing with fear and anxiety, so spending time explaining, developing, and implementing skills, provides clients with the tools to successfully reduce symptoms. Julia feels that with this change comes confidence, which in turn empowers people to take more chances and challenge themselves to move in the direction of the life they dream.
