Siba's Take on Treatment

"I believe that treatment is a stepping stone to get the tools you need to be empowered to be your own therapist. I use a collaborative approach to treatment and support you as you lean into your anxiety, maintain your treatment gains, and live a life aligned with your values."

Approach to Therapy

Beginning with where the patient is, Siba walks side by side to help patients not just survive their anxiety and fears, but thrive in life. She individualizes and tailors her treatments to each patient’s specific needs and works collaboratively with them.  Siba uses a systems approach to therapy, where she believes in involving support people who are significant to the patient to help with the recovery process. She uses a strength-based approach to help empower patients and teach them to utilize their coping skills outside of the therapeutic environment. Her goal is to teach patients the skills they need to feel confident in utilizing them to cope with anxiety and fears. Her patients enjoy her personable and inquisitive spirit. Her goal is to build trust and seeks to ensure that she and the patient are a good fit to work together.

Experience and Training

Siba earned her bachelor’s degree at the University of Cape Town in South Africa and later obtained her master’s degree in social work from Kennesaw State University in Georgia. Since receiving her master's degree, Siba has worked with children, adolescents, and families within the school system. She has experience providing individual and family therapy to children, adolescents, and adults experiencing symptoms of anxiety, OCD, depression, trauma, self-harm, oppositional defiant disorder, and ADHD.
